“The fund had initially focused a corpus of Rs 1,000 crore, which was oversubscribed inside three months of launch. The fund exercised its greenshoe choice for Rs 386 crore,” the funding advisor stated in a press observe.
The Kotak Pre-IPO Opportunities Fund, a close-ended fund, will goal high-quality firms throughout sectors with a robust moat of know-how, sturdy unit economics, scalable enterprise fashions and exit visibility, Kotak Investment Advisor stated.
The modus operandi of the fund shall be to focus on a spread of late-stage new-age companies in India with a robust know-how moat.
“The Pre-IPO Alternatives Fund has been raised at an opportune time. The Indian know-how ecosystem is at an inflection level and with widespread digital adoption, firms are scaling up quicker and accelerating in direction of profitability,” stated Srini Sriniwasan, managing director at Kotak Investment Advisors.
